Food From Land
The Chumash important food was the acorn they got it from live trees. They liked it . What they ate on land was deer, and sometimes even bears.The plants that they ate were soap plant, was a favorite of the Chumash.
What plants they ate were cherries, cattails, berries, mushrooms, and many types of seeds. |
Food From Sea
What they ate from sea were sea otters, clams, seals, clown fish, whales, orcas, jelly fish, and they also ate porpoises,and sharks.Other plant foods gathered were pine nuts, wild cherries, cattails, berries, mushrooms, and many types of seeds. They hunted animals for meat.They also hunted animals for cloths. They used dear skin for cloths.
